We're joined by the creator of Lego Ankh-Morpork to talk about Discworld art, the changeover from Kirby to Kidby, and the novella The Last Hero.
In this pivot point in the series, we're joined by the creator of Lego Ankh-Morpork to talk about old and new heroes, the changeover between Kirby and Kidby art (and which we like better), and the canon-but-also-kind-of-fan-fiction nature of The Last Hero.
"Poets have tried to describe Ankh-Morpork. They have failed. Perhaps it's the sheer zestful vitality of the place, or maybe it's just that a city with a million inhabitants and no sewers is rather robust for poets, who prefer daffodils (and no wonder).
I am no poet, or artist, or architect (I am probably more B.S. Johnson than Leonard of Quirm) but I decided to undertake the mammoth task of recreating the Discworld's greatest city, one Lego brick at a time. It started out very much as a personal project which has grown into something so much more.
The community on Twitter @LegoAnkhMorpork is growing every day and is the main place to join in discussions and view my latest Lego creations!"
